Our next Stimulus Staff Spotlight focuses on Emma. Growing up she wanted to be a lawyer. She is a Wagamama fanatic and loves the fact that working at Stimulus allows her to travel quite a lot.
10 years ago, what did you think you would be doing now?
A lawyer – I wanted to follow in my godmother’s footsteps (she is also called Emma). She retired before 50 so she’s doing pretty well! It wasn’t until I was actually studying law my mind changed.
What quote do you live your life by?
Everything happens for a reason. Probably sounds cheesy but helps when life doesn’t seem to be going to plan.
What’s the one thing you couldn’t live without?
Wagamama. It is well known that I am legitimately obsessed.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m partial to a glass of wine... I spend most of my weekends in London catching up with friends.
What are you listening to/reading/watching at the moment?
I’m trying to convince my mum to keep going with the mini-series Chernobyl because everyone in the office has seen it and I’m desperate to see what happens! I wish I read more but realistically it’s a holiday hobby.
What’s your previous working experience?
I have worked for a number of clothing retailers since being at school. At university I worked in outreach, for which I can attribute most of my delivery skills! Working in outreach was really valuable, mainly due to the range of students and parents I got to meet and work with.
What’s your favourite thing about life at Stimulus?
I’ve always aspired to have a job where I can travel, so travelling, being such a big and important part of my life at Stimulus, is absolutely up there. But of course, it has to be Dante!
What are you excited about during the next year at Stimulus?
I’d love to do more travelling, both in the UK and further afield. I’m looking forward to gaining my first Marketing Cloud instructor certification and learning more about the platform. Always excited for the next social event too…
